"Mike works so well with students - he brings a positive energy to any room that he's in and gives every student his undivided focus and attention. He has the rare ability to not sugarcoat things, but still leave a student feeling excited and proud of what they've accomplished. His feedback is spot on and it was incredible to see how quickly my students took it in and were able to show immediate growth and progress."

A genuine Broadway triple-threat, Mike is as gorgeous as he is talented, smart and kind. He's that rare blend of bona fide brilliance. At the same time, he's still the down-to-earth, with a with a sweet, caring soul sweet and do-anything-for-you guy-next-door demeanor. You'd be hard pressed to find a better blend of insider know-how with a solid understanding of craft and tools a young performer needs to grow and develop. Having straddled the academic world of a B.F.A. from C.C.M. and the Broadway stage in such a short amount of time, Mike has an intimate understanding of how one leads to the other. He has been there, done that, is still doing that, and knows exactly how to pass that knowledge on. He'll do it in the kindest, most generous way possible so that his students feel safe and loved as they go through the hard and thrilling work of preparing for auditions at every level.

Talented, enthusiastic, patient, inspiring: Mike Schwitter is our students' favorite master teacher/coach. Mike has taught dance classes, master classes and offered numerous audition prep coaching sessions at the Academy for Visual and Performing Arts in Hackensack, NJ. A gifted performer himself, Mike is prepared with techniques that get results. His own passion for performing enables him to engage with students of all learning styles.

I own a Musical Theatre Workshops company in Montreal, Canada and brought Mike as a guest teacher after I saw him on Broadway in Pippin. From the moment I contacted Mike, it was very easy and pleasant to talk with him. Communication was fast and simple and Mike was open-minded. I booked five classes in four days in different schools around the city. His classes were fun and professional and he was able to deal with kids, teenagers and adults. Mike teaches with detail and patience—always catering his class to every level in the room. He's creative, charismatic and generous with all of his insider stories. Mike Schwitter is an excellent teacher/artist and an all around great person. I hope to work with him again on future projects. I highly recommend him to everyone. Whatever your background, your experience is, there is something valuable that can be taken away from Mike’s class.
